Namaqualand is an arid region of Namibia and South Africa. Great Namaqualand sits in Namibia while Little Namaqualand forms part of Northern Cape Province in South Africa. The latter is geographically the largest district in the country. Namaqualand is renowned for its minerals, cultural history and wild flowers in spring – an incredible phenomenon. The Namaqua West Coast Region presents stunning succulents, a wine route, crayfish and bokkoms (fish biltong), flamingo birding and wildlife routes. Peninsula Region is where you’ll find quaint fishing villages, seaside resorts, watersports, bustling harbours and a stunning lagoon. Fishing and windsurfing are popular here as well.
